Our events
EYP Romania organises a wide variety of events that bring together young people from across Romania and Europe. Each event is designed to inspire, connect, and empower youth through debate, collaboration, and learning.
Types of EYP Events
One-Day Events
Short events that introduce participants to the core elements of EYP—Teambuilding, Committee Work, and General Assembly—in a single day. They are outreach-focused and designed to welcome new participants.
Regional Selection Conferences (RSC)
A first step into the full EYP experience: ½ day of Teambuilding, one day of Committee Work, and one day of General Assembly. These events host 50–70 Delegates and up to 40 Officials. Delegates can be selected here for the National Selection Conference (NSC).
National Selection Conferences (NSC)
The largest annual event in Romania, hosting 80–100 Delegates and 50 Officials. NSCs combine all session elements with cultural activities like the Eurovillage and Euroconcert. Selected Delegates may represent Romania at international events.
International Sessions (IS)
The flagship events of the EYP Network, held across Europe with over 300 participants. These 10-day events feature several days of Teambuilding, Committee Work, and General Assembly, along with rich cultural programmes.
Other Event Types
We also run Training Events for volunteers, International Forums (similar to IS), and shorter events focusing on one element, like GA Days.
Teambuilding (TB)
The first part of any event, where participants get to know each other and build trustt hrough interactive activities.
Committee Work (CW)
Delegates explore their topics in depth, guided by Chairpersons, and draft Resolutions with solutions to real-world issues.
General Assembly (GA)
The final stage, where Resolutions are debated and voted on by all participants, replicating the structure of the European Parliament.
Types of Official Roles
The Academic Team
Focuses on academic quality and leads committees through their topics.
Roles: President, Vice-Presidents, Chairpersons
The Media Team
Shapes the event’s visual identity through photography, video, and creative projects.
Roles: Editor, Editorial Assistants (EA), Media Team Members (MTM)
The Jury Team
Evaluates Delegates and selects them for future events.
Roles: Head of Jury (HoJ), Jury Members
The Organising Team
Handles all logistics and ensures participants’ needs are met.
Roles: Head-Organiser (HO), Core-Organisers, Organisers
The Safety Team
Ensures participants’ well-being and creates a safe environment.
Role: Event Safe Person (ESP)
Special mention: Trainers (led by a Head Trainer) are key at Training Events, where they deliver workshops and modules.
How to Become an Official
Once you attend an EYP Romania event as a Delegate, you automatically become a member of the National Committee and gain access to the Members’ Platform, where you can apply for official roles at events across Europe.
We recommend starting with entry-level roles such as Organiser, Chairperson, or Media Team Member at Regional Sessions, and then applying for more advanced positions as you gain experience.
