About the EYP Network
The European Youth Parliament (EYP) is a peer-to-peer educational programme, run by young people, for young people, that brings together youth across Europe to debate pressing issues of our time—history, politics, climate, social justice, and more.
Since its founding in 1987, EYP has inspired open-minded, tolerant, active citizens across Europe. Today, it is represented in 40 countries and involves around 25,000 participants annually through more than 400 events at local, national, and international levels.
Our network is a genuine youth‑driven programme: thousands of volunteers organise conferences, sessions, and trainings, making EYP a space of democratic participation, intercultural dialogue, and personal growth.
EYP events combine non-formal education with intercultural exchange, organising events that typically include:
- Teambuilding: Delegates build trust and collaboration within their committees.
- Committee Work: Participants discuss and draft resolutions on European issues.
- General Assembly: Delegates present, debate, and vote on their proposals, simulating democratic processes in a setting similar to the European Parliament.
